Preventive dental care

Preventive dental care involves a set of practices adopted to maintain oral health and prevent oral diseases. By following a preventive dental care plan provided by your dentist, it is perfectly possible to establish oral balance and prevent the appearance of diseases. Prevention is a key area in dentistry.

During routine visits, I assess each patient individually, considering their specific needs, as well as their overall medical history which includes the patient's general health, eating habits, sports practices, sleep quality and possible addictions. Past dental history is also discussed and key for an accurate diagnosis and dental care plan.

Preventive treatments include: clinical and radiographic examination, teeth cleaning, fluoride application, instruction and motivation in brushing techniques and dental floss use.
